Rationale: A comparison of water application losses between the point of discharge and the soil surface. Wind, relative humidity, temperature, and direct solar radiation all affect water losses during application, and the extent of that action varies by droplet size distribution and length of travel in air. Those in turn are affected by sprinkler type, position and operating pressure.
