Yield Comparisons:

Study:

Research Objectives:

    1. Evaluate changes in growth habits including emergence, survival, LAI, and height at various times, due to seed treatments with BASF 106.
    2. Measure differences in water consumption by corn in treated and untreated plots.
Treatments:
 1.Basf rate 1 - 0.0025g/bu
 2.Basf rate 2 - 0.005g/bu
 3.Control
 4.Basf rate 3 - 0.01g/bu
 5.Basf rate 4 - 0.02g/bu
 6.Alachlor

Basic Crop Management: PLANTED - 23 Mar 1983 (rows 0.6m apart); HARVEST - 09 Aug 1983 (2-row grain combine); TILLAGE - Moldboard Plow (30 cm deep plus smoothing and bed shaping), wheel traffic controlled at 1.2 m centers; FERTILIZATION - Typical Extension Recommended Rate; WEED & PEST CONTROL: Typical Extension Recommendations.
