Research Objective: Examine the relationship of subsoil acidity and root exploration for irrigated soybeans and compare methods for controlling irrigation of soybeans.
Treatments:

 3.Tensiometer 20-45 cm depths at 20 cb during r2-r8 stages
 4.Tensiometer 45-90 cm depths at 20 cb during v1-r8 stages

Basic Crop Management: PLANTED - 14 May 1980; HARVEST - 22-23 Oct 1980; TILLAGE - Moldboard Plow (30 cm deep plus smoothing and bed shaping), wheel traffic controlled at 1.2 m centers; FERTILIZATION - Typical Extension Recommended Rate; WEED & PEST CONTROL: Typical Extension Recommendations.
