Rainfall Patterns By Decade for the Suwannee & Ochlocknee Basins

  ChartObject Changing Rainfall Patterns

Source: NOAA National ClimateData Center and Earthinfo, 1996, Summary of Day (records from NCDC) for the following Georgia cities in and immediately surrounding the Suwannee Basin: Abbeville, Adel, Ashburn, Bainbridge, Cairo, Camilla, Cordele, Douglas, Fitzgerald, Homerville, Moultrie, Nashville, Quitman, Thomasville, Tifton, Valdosta, and Waycross. The summaries were created from daily weather records. "Winter" refers to the first half of the hydrologic or "Water" year. (Water Year 1996, like Fiscal Year 1996, begins October 1995 and continues to September 1996, for example.) "Summer" refers to the second half of the water year, i.e. April through September.
