Current Activities:
Dr. Ryles teaches and serves on review committees with our department. He is the State 4-H Leader for Georgia, he is a unit Head for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and serves as the National Chair of State 4-H leaders. Dr Ryles has the administrative and programmatic responsibility for all of Georgia 4-H.

Career Highlights:
Dr. Ryles is on the National Executive Committee for the 4-H Trust, is the National Chair of 4-H Leaders, is the State 4-H Leader for Georgia. Dr Ryles has served on the faculty of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service for 24 years. He has served as the state 4-H leader for 10 years. Prior to that position, he was a state specialist coordinating animal programs in 4-H, district agent in three districts, and county agent in Clarke and McDuffie counties. He serves on a myriad of state and national committees including Georgia partners for Excellence in Education, Georgia Association of Education Leaders, TAC Team for the Georgia Rural Development Council, The National 4-H TRUST, The National Bd of 4-H Agents, The Georgia 4-H Foundation, The Master 4-H Club, and Kids Voting Georgia Bd of Directors. His scholarly productivity includes journal articles, public media writings, review committees, and invited presentations. He presents lectures and speeches on a weekly basis. He has several awards for service and is recognized as one of the most influential 4-H leaders in America .
