Dr. Jason B. Peake

Current
Activities:
Dr. Peake is currently developing the Agricultural Education
program on the Tifton Campus of The University of Georgia.
He is involved in the teaching and advising of undergraduates
and graduate students in agricultural leadership, education
and communication. He advises the UGA Collegiate FFA and Alpha
Tau Alpha Honorary Agricultural Education Fraternity. Currently,
he teaches the following courses:

Developing Community Programs in Agriculture
EAGR 4350/6350 Curriculum Planning in Agriculture Education
EAGR 7460 Internship in Agricultural Education
Research
Focus:
Dr. Peake has published in the areas of distance education
and technology integration as related to agriscience students
and teachers. His current interest in research is the propagation
of middle school agriscience programs for the state of Georgia.
Career
Highlights:
Dr. Peake started working for the University of Georgia in
February 2004. Before coming to Georgia, Dr. Peake worked
as an instructor and researcher at Texas A&M University
while completing his PhD. Prior to that, Dr. Peake was a high
school agriscience teacher in Central Florida for four years
teaching middle and high school classes. His scholarly achievements
already include 4 refereed journal publications, 38 refereed
invited or refereed presentations. He is a member of the National
Association of Agricultural Education and the American Association
for Agricultural Education.
